Originally named the Sieur de Monts National Monument in 1916, the 49,000 acres now known as Acadia National Park is the oldest national park east of the Mississippi River.
Home to the highest point on the East Coast, Cadillac Mountain serves as a popular destination for many — in the fall and winter, the summit is the first to see the sunrise in the United States.
I've been to Acadia a number of times before — but never this close to peak foliage. Although I was still a week-ish away from peak, it was still gorgeous. I met up with my friends James, Jared and Abby to explore the park.
Below are a few of my favorite images from this past weekend. Enjoy!
