Journal – July, 2017

You know those months that fly by? You blink and it's just...gone? That was my July.

The month started out down south on Lake Gaston in North Carolina, visiting my girlfriend and her family. We all spent the 4th of July in good company, eating too many hot dogs and drinking Coronas on the boat. I can't wait to get back there next year.

Next up: the annual Stoweflake Hot Air Balloon Festival in Stowe, VT. If you've never done anything like this before, I highly recommend it. Seeing them off in the distance is one thing. Standing feet away from dozens of them as they take off? Pretty neat.

As I sit here in late August, it's hard to believe July – and with it, summer – is almost over. One of the last sunsets of July was spent at one of my favorite places – Nubble Lighthouse.

And with that, July was gone. Before we know it...ah, forget it. You know what I'm going to say.
